Job Description (Duties):

Purpose of the Role

To develop and implement marketing and product strategies that will support the Retail Bank's drive for business growth while underpinning the Bank's objectives of superior service, increased brand equity and sustainable superior profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities;

* Active participation in development of new products in line with the Bank's strategic plan (e.g. Debit Cards/ATM's, Customer Loans, Home Loans, Insurance related products, Special Personal Saving/Budgeting schemes, Credit Cards).
* Ensure high level of customer service to ensure customer's loyalty and retention.
* Sale, Re-launch and enhancement of existing of bank's product to enable business growth.
* Active participation in marketing direct campaigns; ensure success of newly launched products and the development of the Bank's brand.
* Ensure operational efficiency.
* Monitoring competitor activity and conceiving counter strategies on an ongoing basis .
* Continuously supporting the Bank's brand development initiatives.
* Personally initiate at least 5 new product sales or relationships per week.


Necessary Qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills;

* Completed Secondary Education to Advanced level. Probably a degree or similar qualification preferably in Marketing and Business Studies.
* 2 years Retail marketing experience including previous success in leading a Sales team and product launches.
* Speak 2, preferably 3 languages; English, French and Kinyarwanda.
* Understands what constitutes good customer service.
* Excellent product knowledge and associated selling and cross selling skills.
* Good understanding of banking law, BNR regulations and BCR practice and procedures.
* Analytical, numerate and computer literate plus good with words.
* Good project Management skills and disciplines.
* Good organizational and motivational skills.
