Job Description (Duties):

Our Client is a Leading Telecommunications Company in Burundi and is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.

JOB PURPOSE;

Managing the day to day operation of the Finance department and its associated functions. As well as lead the Company's Financial Accounting , reporting and to ensure they are carried out efficiently , effectively and in line with best practices.

DUTIES;

* Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Company's Finances.
* Directs budget and cost controls.
* Responsible for management of financial analysis, accounting practices and reports.
* Supervise preparations of financial statements.
* To develop and control a centralized accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed.
* Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommend changes that will improve the Company's financial performance and financial controls.
* Act as the main point of contact to external auditors in coordination of audits.
* Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that group policies are followed.


Necessary Qualifications:

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

* BA in Finance/Accounting from a recognized University.
* ACCA, CPA or its equivalent is required.
* Minimum 7 years work experience in the Financial field.
* Must be knowledgeable and current with regulations and compliance policies affecting the industry in Burundi.
* Proven tract record of previous managerial experience in a similar position.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good leadership and supervisory skills.
* Fluent in French with good command of English.
