Job Description (Duties):
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for developing, growing and maintaining a portfolio in specialized sectors (e.g Oil and Agribusiness) by bringing in leads, courting prospective clients' relationship and offering them attractive service packages with an end result of achieving the Bank's objectives.
DIMENSIONS;
Achieved agreed customer revenue, risk adjusted income and total client return targets i.e grow the Bank's income as agreed per annum.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
* Portfolio growth:- Develop and maintain a new asset and liability portfolio of specialized sectors through fresh, cross and deep selling.
* Relationship Management:- Manage the performance of an allocated/built customer portfolio in order to maximize loyalty and customer satisfaction.
* Analysis:- Study the industry and specific allocated sectors. e.g the Oil Sector - Looking at a portfolio of Oil Companies, investors and their supply chain through economic reports, daily updates on the petroleum financial market conditions and conducing market intelligence research with the view of advising management on the best financial instrument to improve the Bank's market position for both on-the-spot and long-term business strategies.
* Portfolio Quality:- Ensure quality portfolio through regular customer visits, monitoring timely repayments, renewals and take proactive approach to deal with the poor performing assets.
COMMUNICATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL;
* Manager Strategy and Innovation

* Product Development Officer
* Various working committees e.g Product Development Committee etc
* All staff through various internal communication processes (email, intranet, staff presentations etc)
EXTERNAL;
* Existing and potential Customers
* Special Sector Association and Clients
Necessary Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* University Degree (Business related) with at least 3 years Sales and Marketing working experience.
* Experience in and a good understanding of Trends in Special Sectors like Oil, Agri Business, e.t.c
* Understanding of varied banking product solutions and ability to recommend new products for development in relation to customer feedback received through relationship management.
* Selling skills (to new business, cross selling to all business lines)
* Ability to analyze business risks.
* Effective interpersonal communication with proven ability to function well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
* Relationship building and team management is key to the role and the candidate must have experience of developing team objectives and ensuring team direction.
* Ability to conduct research and identify opportunities in Special Sectors.
