The Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention is seeking for an individual for the position of Work Order Control/Maintenance Clerk.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Serves as the Work Order Control/Maintenance Clerk for the Facilities Maintenance Section based at the CDC-Uganda office in Entebbe.  The incumbent performs administrative and clerical duties for the maintenance section which includes tracking work-flow from the time a work order is submitted to completion; managing the day to day data entry into the Computerized Maintenance Management System to reflect preventive maintenance assignments and schedules; issuing and monitoring usage of maintenance tools and frequently used supplies and consumables; tracking leave and attendance of facilities personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE:  All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1.  Education required: Completion of secondary school (both 'O' and 'A' Level) is required.
 2.  Work Experience: Two years of clerical and/or technical workshop experience related to maintenance or construction operation is required.
3.   Language Requirement: Level III (good working knowledge) in written and spoken English ability is required.
4.   Knowledge:  General knowledge of facilities maintenance operations, including an understanding of basic maintenance tools, test-gears, and related equipment is required.
5.  Skills and Abilities:  Basic computer and database management skills and have the ability to use software packages like Microsoft Word and Excel; good communication skills are required for building a good customer relationship with CDC and Embassy personnel.
SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference.  Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1.  Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa status in determining successful candidacy.
2.  Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3.  Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4.   Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their appointment.
5.   Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
