Job Title: Logistics Manager

Department: Supply Chain

Location: Kampala



Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

- Contribute to the development of SCM strategies and plans, working with SCM leadership in-country and SCM group level.

- Manage suppliers performance and relationship management for major logistics providers in country.

- Oversee the periodic review of OFF/transport and related logistics providers to develop and award logistics contracts.

- Develop the logistics department skills and capability, including succession planning & localization.

- Oversee logistics incident management.

- Work with business unit management and internal customers to review and plan logistics requirements for operations and development projects.





Experiences and Education:

- Minimum 15 years proven experience.

- International exposure within an oil and gas operating environment.

- Projects and operations logistics experience with an operator and /or logistics provider.

- Experience of exploration/appraisal/development drilling operations.

- Experience working within Africa on the above is preferred.

- Proven logistics experience (transport, warehouse and material) is paramount; with the following academic qualifications being advantageous: Diploma in Transport Management, as well as a Business or Management related subject.
