Job Title: Manager, Records and Information
Reports to: Director – Human Resources
Salary Scale: Makerere University M.4
Required Minimum Qualifications: Honours Bachelors Degree from a recognized institution and a Masters degree from a recognized institution preferably in any of the following fields of study:
* Computer Science
* Software Engineering
* Information Systems
* Information Technology
* Information Science or its equivalent
Required Experience: At least 7 (seven) years of working experience with ICT systems in a large organisation, 3 (three) of which should be at supervisory level.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership to the Records and Information Division in line with the Human Resource (HR) policy.
2. Provide professional (technical) support and advice to all stakeholders (Management, staff, and Council Committees) in line with the University Strategic Plan and HR policy
3. Develop work targets for the Division in line with HR Strategic Plan
4. Initiate, review, and monitor policies and procedures on Information and Records in line with the University Strategic Plan.
5. Review and elicit specifications for changes in IT and HR processes in line with University Information Policy.
6. Manage performance, mentor, guide, and appraise division staff in line with HR Policies.
7. Plan, budget and account for the Division’s resources in line with Directorate’s Strategic Plan
8. Continuously design proposals on issues of HR Records and information in line with University Strategic plan.
9. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Director Human Resources from time to time.

Desirable qualities
