JOB TITLE: ELECTRICIAN

DEPARTMENT: TECHNICAL
PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE: To carry out electrical installation and maintenance and repair works in accordance to the specifications.
REPORTS TO: Site Engineer
LOCATION: Project site
DIRECTLY MANAGES: Casual labourers-helpers
KEY OUTPUTS / DELIVERABLES:
a) Carry out installation work in accordance with specifications and British standards
b) Present work progress reports to the Electrical Engineer.

INTERNAL INTERFACES: Technical Manager, Electrical Engineer, Site Agents, Quantity Surveyor, Site HSSE Officer.

EXTERNAL INTERFACES: Subcontractors, Consultants, Clients, Suppliers
KEY TASKS:
a) Carry out domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installation.
b) Advise superiors on issues regarding electrical matters.
c) Carry out minor maintenance and repair of equipments at sites
d) Interpret electrical drawings and develop bill of quantities for electrical work
e) Requisition for electrical materials
f) Check delivered materials for compliance with specification
g) Support the Electrical Engineer on preparing electrical tenders

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
a) High integrity and team player
b) Good analytical skills
c) Knowledge on electrical installation
d) Knowledge of rules and regulations for electrical installation
e) Knowledge of electrical materials and tools
f) Planning organizing and coordinating ability
g) Good public relations

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
a) Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering
b) Valid Class C installation permit
c) Computer skills

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years experience in electrical installation work
