Engen Uganda ltd is the leading provider in the oil and petroleum industry. We seek to recruit a suitable person to fill the Healthy, safety, Environment and Quality and Operations
Manager(HSEQ/OPS Manager)position.

Job Title: HSEQ/OPS MANAGER

Duty station: Kampala
If you are self driven .have strong organizational and analytical skills ,good understanding of legal, regulatory as well as Occupational Healthy and Safety Act demands ,have an ability to research information and produce reports, understanding of environmental matters, able to simply complex guidelines .procedures have a strong drive and desire to achieve results with minimal supervision, this position might be for you. A proven track record in above is critical to selection, as experience in asset care especially maintenance. The successive applicant will be responsible for the following:

• Understanding of and implementing of HSE MS.
• Logging incidents, investigating and ensuring all incidents are closed within defined time frame.
• Developing capacity within HSEQ.
• Implementing and ensuring HSEQ Business controls are in place.
• Monitoring and meeting (and sometimes exceeding) HSEQ performance targets.
• Ensuring asset integrity at all Engen sites through planned routine and preventive maintenance.
• Liaising with and ensuring service providers perform per service level agreements or contracts.
• Provide support to management.


Job requirement

Qualification and Experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering especially mechanical or electrical engineering .Qualification must have a minimum 3 year duration at an accredited tertiary institution.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing or process industry Experience in petroleum industry would be an added advantage.
• Strong practical computer skills and experience in MS word office-word, PowerPoint, and excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good work experience in corporate environment.
