Job Description (Duties):
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor the impact of the company's activities on the local communities. This includes the facilitation of social baseline and impacts studies, and the monitoring of social impact management plans.
The position holder will also be responsible for the management of grievances and the follow-up of contractors and their service providers.
Diploma in Social sciences, Anthropology or Human Resources.
Certificate of attendance at a community based training course is a plus.
Previous experience working with rural communities in Uganda, preferably in the Lake Albert area.
Knowledge of industry-community relations and the impact of industrial activities in rural communities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop and maintain good relations with both internal and external stakeholders.
Preference will be given to those candidates who speak the local language for the northern and north eastern part of the Lake Albert basin.
Position holder will be located on site.
