Transport Supervisor Job Vacancy in Uganda

Vacancy: Transport Supervisor
Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Job Description (Duties):

Primary Function

Responsible for close supervision and coordination of all in country road transport operations, ensuring safe and efficient passage of CNOOC Operations bound goods and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing daily transport status updates, amendments and advices
Liaise with projects staff on all aspects of freight movements
Use of satellite tracking of vehicles to achieve this
Stock keeping, transfers & permissions/ licenses for explosives
Field visits + Supervision of all aspects of road transport + fleet supervision in the field operations areas
Analyse the rig needs for operational areas, plan ahead to ensure cranes, forklifts, trucks etc are on hire or prepared for action
Other duties assigned by leaders


Necessary Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Business Studies, Logistics and supply chain management
Postgraduate qualifications in road transport management
planning, management or the related
At least 10-years road transport operations, Logistical, and Warehousing or related working experience
Extensive knowledge of logistics and transportation
Qualifications in road transport or vehicle mechanics
Excellent skills for office software: MS Word, Power Point, Excel
Understanding of oil E&P
Excellent organizational, negotiation and communication skills
Excellent analyzing and problem-solving ability
Awareness of culture diversity;
Good command of both written and spoken English
Excellent team player
High standard of business ethics and integrity
Highly motivated and achievement orientated
Preference to overseas and offshore oil field working experience
