Job Title: Internal Auditor

Role:

To conduct operational and financial audits and review the extent of departmental compliance with FINCA Uganda policies and procedures in accordance with accounting principles and acceptable auditing practices. This position reports to the Senior Internal Auditor.

Qualifications and Experience

* A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Part qualification in either Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountants.
* Membership of Certified Fraud Examiners and knowledge of fraud procedures is an added advantage
* A sound knowledge of micro finance/banking principles and practices
* At least two years audit experience either in an internal audit department or with a firm of Certified Public Accountants – experience in auditing financial institutions will be of added advantage. The job- holder must be willing to travel regularly (50%-Travel time), including to remote locations to carry out audits.
* Computer literate-Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
