Job Title: Risk and Compliance Officer


Location: Kampala

Department: Risk & Compliance

Role definition

To support efficient delivery of services by all departments through routine identification of business risk and non-compliance to policies and procedures, and making recommendations for improvement. This position reports to the Risk and Compliance Manager

Qualification and experience

* A Business/Accounting Degree or a related field
* Training in Banking shall be an added advantage
* Two years’ relevant work experience in a Micro-finance institution or a Bank.
* A Sound knowledge of micro finance and principles and practices of banking, practices of micro finance deposit-taking institutions.
* Ability to compile and analyze accurate weekly and monthly reports.
* Excellent writing skills.
* Works perfectly under minimum or/no supervision with a proactive approach.
* Financial reporting/analysis and interpretations skills.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to coach & mentor staff in risk & compliance issues
* Ability to meet strict deadlines.
