Job Title: Point of Sale (POS) Supervisor


Location: Multilple Locations

Department: Operations

Directly reports to : Regional Manager

Duty Station : POS center (Various locations country wide)

Immediate Subordinates : Accounts Relations Supervisor VB/BL/SGL, POS Assistant Accountant



Role definition

To plan, coordinate and manage the business growth and development of the savings and credit activities of the POS center by supervising and monitoring performance of staff in line with the strategic plan.



Key Result Areas

1. Plan and coordinate POS Center office activities in line with FINCA Uganda’s growth objectives. This will include planning, budget formulation and growing the business volumes through client and savings mobilization, portfolio growth and quality.
2. Monitor the daily banking activities i.e. account opening and back office operations among others in line with the banking policies and procedures and ensure the security of assets of both the clients and staff of FINCA in line with the Administration policies and procedures.
3. Manage and supervise the human resources of the POS center and maintain high levels of staff productivity and FU customer service standards.
4. Manage the liquidity of the POS center to support the daily business operations in line with the Treasury Manual.
5. Oversee the effective implementation of internal controls in line with FU set policies and procedures.
6. Prepare periodic performance reports as per the reporting schedule of the Branch activities on a monthly, weekly basis.



Qualifications and Experience:

* A University Degree preferably in commerce and accounting (B.Com), Business Administration (B.BA) Banking or Micro finance and;
* At least 2 years’ credit supervisory experience
* Clear portfolio management background.

* Should have Business Management skills.
* Should have Credit Analysis skills.
* Should have Financial Management skills
* A sound knowledge of micro finance, principles, and practices of banking is mandatory
* Ability to manage and motivate staff
* Should have reporting skills
* Should have presentation skills
* Should have negotiation skills
* Should be customer-oriented
* Should be computer literate
* Should be a team player with strong leadership skills.
