Job Title: Technical Training Manager
Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Job Purpose:
To support Tullow, its partners and other relevant stakeholders to establish and operating programme, in cooperation with Ugandan technical/ vocational training stakeholders in order to provide suitably qualified staff to work on the construction phase of the lake Albert basin development
Main Accountabilities:
• To support the development of appropriate qualifications standards, certification and curriculum for a trade based skills training programme that meets international oil and gas standards
• To work with other oil and Gas partners, and private and public colleges, to establish the facilities, equipment and training providers to deliver the programme
• To support the development of a recruitment and selection model which will integrate with the training programme
Qualifications:
Minimum of a University Degree from a recognized university
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in oil and gas related technical training work, including curriculum development and support
• Experience in institutional development programs
• Proven experience of either setting up or running an oil and Gas training facility where both engineering trade and production operator training was provided
Knowledge and Skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Computer skills
• Knowledge of international oil and gas standards for various skill trades
