Job Title: Head- Communication & Advocacy
Salary Scale: UAC 4
Reports to: Director policy, Research and Programming
Responsible for: Advocacy Officer

Purpose of the Job:
To manage communication and advocacy programmer of UAC in the promotion of the national response to HIV/AIDS epidemic and to oversee the Public Relations function

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To develop and review policies and strategies for advocacy and public relations
• To prepare work plans for advocating for the support and participation of stakeholders in the national response
• To prepare responses and materials required for the national response and the image of the commission
• To organize and conduct sensitization fora for the national response

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in mass communication or a related field from a recognized institution
• A post graduate qualification in communication from a recognized institution

Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years working experience, 3 of which must have been at a senior level in government, NGO or reputable organization
