Laboratory Assistant Job Vacancy at NARO in Uganda

Job Title:  Gis  Laboratory Assistant
NARO   is  seeking to employ  qualified suitable  applicants   to fill the  above vacant post.
Responsibilities
•    Maintenance   and update  the soils database  with laboratory  analytical data  and  field  soil survey data
•    Creation , maintenance , and update  of other natural  resources  spatial layers  based on topographic maps, soil  surveys , satellite imagery ,laboratory  analytical  data  and  other resources .
•    In-putting,  achieving , processing , and analysis  of  GIS  and other  data
Requirements
•    Comprehensive  understanding  of  GIS   Concepts
•    In depth knowledge  of  ArcGIS9.x
•    Working knowledge of  Microsoft   Office suite
•    Good  understanding  and working experience  with ACCESS, MySOL, and /or  PostGRESS databases
