Job Title: Consultant

We wish to engage the services of a suitable individual to support local Fund Development in the organisation.

Job Tasks: To design and develop concepts and project proposals aimed at generating funding for SOS programmes. Placing such proposals with a range of funding agencies targeting areas of community development, education and health care. The consultant shall identify opportunities/calls for funding and work with SOS staff to determine programme content and possibilities for application.

Skill Set : 1. Experience: At least 5 years of successful quality proposal writing with documented success in securing funding from major donors (e.g EU, USAID, DANIDA etc). The ideal person should be able to translate information from SOS and make it easily understandable/convincing to an identified donor. 2. Remuneration: A retainer fee will be negotiated to facilitate the administration costs. Any major payments will be made on commission basis.
