JOB TITLE: Research Clinical Officer (2 positions)

CONTRACT PERIOD: 4 months

Qualifications

* Diploma in clinical medicine
* At least 3 years of post-qualification professional experience
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Fluency in verbal and written English and Luganda
* Experience in HIV ARV and Palliative Care delivery

ADDED ADVANTAGE EDUCATION/TRAINING

* Formal HIV ART and Palliative Care training for clinical officers
* Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training and prior experience in research
* Use of computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, email and Internet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Conduct study procedure according to GCP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Complete History, Physical Exam and Questionnaires
* Ensure patient safety and confidentiality

* Work with the HIV care and treatment teams at Kayunga District hospital and Kangulumira HIV clinics,
* Resolve or coordinate the resolution of study issues related to HIV care, treatment, laboratory, and data management.

* Document procedures, processes and events related to clinical PEPFAR programs that could impact study conduct.
* Other duties as required.
