Job Title : Internal Auditor
Location : Kampala
Reports to : Finance and Administration Manager
Supervises : Audit Assistants
Location: Kampala
The successful candidate will report to the Director PIBID
Responsibilities:
1. Advising PIBID management and Board and Management Committee on the adequacy of the PIBID's internal control systems.
2. Ensuring the adequacy of the PIBID's internal control systems including auditing revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities.
3. Ensuring that the PIBID activities are in accordance with the Law and Regulations of Government of Uganda
4. Auditing all procurement and disposal of assets, by PIBID management.
5. Conducting manpower audits for PIBID.
6. Auditing stores, cash and other properties owned by PIBID.
7. Supervising audit work, including carrying out value for money audits; producing quarterly and annual audit reports.
8. Supervising the Audit section staff.
9. Accountable for overseeing all audit operations at PIBID Field Station; TBI, Nyaruzinga Bushenyi; and ITP Sanga.
10. Liaises with all External Auditors.
11. Coordinates Audit findings, dissemination and Audit trainings.
12. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Director PIBID and to comply with a flexible working schedule.
Qualifications:
The candidate should be a holder of a first degree, majoring in Accounts. Professional Courses like ACCA are an added advantage.
Knowledge experience
a. Familiarity with Uganda government Accounting procedures and policies.
b. Knowledge of basic accounting packages
c. Basic computer knowledge especially spread sheets
