Job Title: Senior Personnel Officer
Job Ref: MBL/SPO/003/2012

Duties:
• Preparing submissions for District Service Commission, in respect of appointment, discipline, study leave and confirmation;
• Carrying out staff performance appraisal for purposes of effecting rewards to deserving staff members, managing the welfare of staff in the local governments
• Preparing departmental work plans, budgets and performance reports

Qualifications:
• An honors Bachelors Degree in Social Work and Social Administration
• Or Human resources management science or social sciences from a university
• A post graduate qualification in human Resource Management or Public Administration and management from a recognized University/ institution is an added advantage

Experience:
Professional working experience of at least 3 years in Human Resource Management at level of personnel Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization

Applications in triplicate on PSC Form 3 (revised 2008) can be obtained from any office of the chief Administrative Officer or secretary district Service Commission, filled in own hand writing, addressed to the secretary DSC Mbale, P.O box 2434 Mbale
Applicants serving outside the traditional public Service/ Local governments are required to give 3 references one of whom should be his/her current employer, attach only photocopies of their Academic and Professional Certificates, 3 passport size photographs recently taken and an up to date CV
