Credit Administrator Job Vacancy at Pride Microfinance limited in Uganda

Job Title: Credit  Administrator

The Credit Administrator shall be based at Head Office and will be responsible for planning, monitoring, coordinating & controlling the big loans portfolio both qualitatively & quantitatively. He / she will report to the Manager Credit Individual Lending.

Specific responsibilities include:-

• Participate in the setting of branch targets for loans that require management & board approval.

• Ensure the achievement of organization set targets for loans that require management & board approval.

• Interface with Credit officers, Branch Credit Administrators and Branch Managers to appropriately evaluate potential credit applications and where necessary interface with clients directly.

• Analyze loan write-ups from branches with a view of credit risk management for decision making by the respective credit committees. He/she may be required to generate the writeups where necessary.

• Monitor and follow-up timely disbursement of approved loans by management and Board and ensure client’s fulfillment of conditions set at approval.

• Prepare, communicate and file credit reports including weekly and monthly as shall be advised by the supervisor.

• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors’ degree in Commerce, Economics, Microfinance, Development Economics, development Studies, Business studies, Accounting and Finance, Financial Services, Business Computing, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Social Sciences, SWASA, Education or in any other relevant/related field.

• Candidates should have at least 2 years’ and above working experience in Credit Administration.

• Candidates must be knowledgeable in computer applications especially MS Office and should be aged between 25 – 35 years.

• Should be a team player and a self-starter.

• Should be self-motivated, innovative with a passion to achieve steep targets.

• Should possess a strong personality and dynamism.

• Should be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment and under pressure.

• Should demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to manage costs and maximize income for the organization.
