Internal Audit Supervisor Job Vacancy at URA in Uganda

Job Title: Supervisor Internal Audit  (02 Vacancies)
JOB CODE: HRM/051/501
REPORTS TO: MANAGER INTERNAL AUDIT

ROLE: To monitor and implement the internal audit function including the
systems and operations review in accordance with the IIA International
Practices Framework, International Auditing Standards and URA Internal
Audit Charter.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
Essential:
a) An Honors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
b) Professional qualification in Auditing and Accounting (CIA, CPA, ACCA etc.)

Desirable:
Information Systems Audit Certification such as CISA, CISM CRISC, CGEIT, CFA
Experience and Knowledge:
a) At least three (3) years’ experience in an audit function in a large organization with
at least One (1) year in a leadership position
b) Knowledge and operational experience in the application of various Tax laws as well
as macro/micro economics
c) Knowledge of Revenue and Tax Administration
Character & Abilities:
a) Strong analytical capability, innovative and critical thinking
b) Excellent report writing skills and ability to make winning presentations to large
audiences
c) Ability to multi task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
d) Audit planning, implementation and review capability
e) Team working and interpersonal skills
f) Ability to train, coach and mentor
g) Knowledge of company law and relevant laws relating to management and
governance of organizations in Uganda
h) High ethics, integrity and confidentiality.
