Job Title: Stores Assistant
National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, (NAGRC&DB) a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda
Duties/Responsibilities:
• To receive and issue items from the store
• To reconcile stores ledger periodically
• To maintain maximum and minimum balances of items in the store
• To keep proper and accurate record of receipt and issues of items in the stores
• Inform user department and management when to re-order more stock
• To undertake periodic cleaning of all stores
• To ensure that issues from the stores have been authorised by the relevant authorities.
Job requirement
Qualifications:
A Technical support Staff under NAGRC &DB shall possess a minimum technical qualification of a diploma in the relevant field. Staff should have:-
• Hands-on knowledge
• Technical skills
• Computer knowledge is a must
Age:
Minimum age of 25 years with work experience of at least two years.
Other requirements:
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Minimum age of 25 years with work experience of at least 2 years.
• Proficient computer skills especially Microsoft office programmes especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work productively under pressure and cope with all the deadline
