Our Client CNOOC Uganda Limited is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the above vacancy;


Primary function:

ŸResponsible for geological technology in the ‘Petroleum Development’ Stage; and assisting the lead Geologist and the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ŸGeological technical support and research.Ÿ
Participate in development well plan.Ÿ
Analysis of geology engineering data (static and dynamic) in order to obtain updates on geology characteristics and parameters, which will be used for updating geology models.
Carrying out Geology dynamic data synthesis for the field.Ÿ Geology model building and updating.Ÿ
Making FDP and the technical policies, providing requirements and suggestions, and tracking the implementation.Ÿ
Dynamically track the geology operation, submitting the research result and the recommendation report to the leaders.Ÿ
Other duties assigned by leaders.

Qualifications:

ŸBachelors degree in Petroleum, Geology or equivalent.
4 years related working experience.
ŸGood knowledge of geological research methods and technology.Ÿ
Knowledge of seismic, exploration, well logging and development.Ÿ
Knowledge of drilling, engineering and economic evaluation.Ÿ
Understanding of petroleum policy and laws.
Excellent organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analyzing and problem-solving ability.Ÿ
Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
Excellent team player.Ÿ
Highly motivated and achievement orientated.Ÿ
Preference will be given to those candidates that have overseas offshore oil field working experience.
