Job Title: Project Manager

About this job

Our Client Computer Point a leading IT systems integrator in East Africa is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill in the above position;

Position Objective:

To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues.
Pro-actively disseminating project information to all stakeholders.
Identifying, managing and mitigating project risk.
Ensuring that solution is of acceptable quality.
Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered unless changes are approved through scope management.
Defining and collecting metrics to give a sense of how the project is progressing and whether the deliverable produced are acceptable.
Managing the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget.
Submission of regular reports to management about the project status.
Any other responsibilities not covered above but reasonably expected to be performed by the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a related field.
4-5 years direct work experience in project management capacity.
Qualification in project management or equivalent (Prince2 / ITIL /PMP).
Knowledge of ICT products and servicesknowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Proven experience in people management.
Proficient in project management software.
Proven experience in strategic planning.
Proven experience in risk management.
Proven experience in change management.
