Job Description (Duties):

As part of their growth strategy, the company will be diversifying its Insurance operation to the Ugandan market.
Job Purpose:
To provide reliable communication link between customers and staff through prompt efficient management of mail. The Driver will also be required to drive senior management staff from time to time and as shall be required.
Nature and Scope:
Office Assistant /Driver will be responsible for receipt and distribution of company communication. The position will also involve the performance of light manual or mechanical work, or general office tasks of a simple and routine nature as well as driving management staff as may be required.
Responsibilities:
Drive senior management staff to and from meetings and other engagements as may be required from time to time;
Operate and maintain the mail van;
Perform minor maintenance task on the vehicles when necessary;
Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and other documents/items;
Ensure that all instruction i.e. daily banking and statements to and from the bank are promptly delivered;
Ensure that any bounced cheques are promptly collected as advised by Finance;
Messengerial duties;
Franking of mails;
Keeping of a proper record of mail dispatched;
Provide other services as requested, when not engaged operating the mail van and/or company car.
Necessary Qualifications:
Minimum Education Form 1V (O Levels) mean grade of C.
A holder of valid /Clean driving license.
Three –years relevant experience in a similar position.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
