Position: PROGRAM MANAGER UNICEF AND KOICA PROJECTS
Reports to: The Director Medical and Psychosocial Programmes

Role definition: To initiate, develop and monitor the implementation of sys¬tems, policies and procedures for aligning the UNICEF and KOICA projects ob¬jectives to Medical and Psychosocial programs in the targeted districts and manage the performance of the implementers in line with Baylor Uganda's mission

Key result areas:
1. Provide direction, technical and managerial oversight to Project Coordina¬tors and Partners to roll out program activities and ensure services reach target beneficiaries at all levels of implementation.
2. Manage, supervise and build the capacity of Project Coordinators in quality Programme Planning, Management and implementation of program activi¬ties.
3. Initiate and maintain functional relationship with a range of stakeholders and partners, including good working relationship with Ministry of Health and Districts, to ensure their full involvement in planning and implementa¬tion of activities.
4. Maintain communication and coordination with Districts, regions and other partners, including representing in meetings.
5. Develop and monitor the implementation of the capacity building plan (in terms of training, mentorship and coaching) in the targeted districts to plan and manage a sustainable programme for comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in line with the MOH guidelines
6. Develop, appraise, support and maintain a competent and motivated project team through giving constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring, in ac¬cordance with the human resources manual.
7. Implement and follow up recommendations from Monitoring and Evalu¬ation team to UNICEF and KOICA projects' activities in line with the project objectives
8. Develop and monitor strategies for building/strengthen partnerships with medical care and Treatment related organizations/relevant stakeholders in line with project objectives
9. Develop and monitor the implementation of the UNiCEF and KOiCA Projects budget in line with the donor guidelines and project objectives
10.Develop targets for UNICEF and KOICA projects and write quarterly and an¬nual reports in regard to the performance of the UNICEF and KOiCA projects in line with Baylor Uganda's mission
11. Develop and monitor the implementation of a program of integrating the UNICEF and KOICA projects objectives with the health centre's work plans in the targeted districts in line with the project objectives.
12.Review and compile reports from Project Coordinators and report on Project performance progress for feed back to Management on a monthly basis.
1 S.Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) Advisor, to ensure that quality improvement activities are initiated and followed up.

Qualifications and job specifications
The job holder should have;
1. A Master's degree in medical related field or public health with Post Gradu¬ate diploma in project planning and management.
2. At least (5) years relevant working experience preferably in health develop¬ment, with a reputable international NGO, and direct experience of representation with government and donor representatives
3. Excellent team work excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and with strong management and analytical skills.
4. 30-45 years of age.
5. Registration with the Uganda Medical Council is required
