Job Purpose :
To direct, evaluate and monitor administrative programs and ensure
their implementation.
Minimum Qualification & Working Experience:
● A Bachelors Degree in Business Adminstration, Public Administration, Management, Human Resouce Management or Social Sciences
● A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration and Management, Human Resource or any management related fi eld.
● Training in any Technical, Vocational or Business related fi eld
● A Certifi cate or Diploma in Teacher Education
● A minimum of 5 years teaching experience 3 of which should be at the principal Lecture Level.
● Technical qualifi cation /or training of trainers or training of instructors for Business, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) are an added advantage
● Experience with output oriented/employment and enterprise orientation is an advantage
● Knowledge and practice of modularised training based on
● standards and a qualifi cation framework for assessment.
● Private and public sector experience in skills development
● Experience in managing teams in a cross-cultural setting
● Knowledge of any of the methods of creating an employment curriculum, such as DACUM or any other is an added advantage.
● Experience with relevant research in skills development such as conducting tracer studies and labour market scans is an advantage
● Understanding Financial management of institutions and Government of Uganda accountability procedures
● Experience with planning and monitoring of strategic and operational plans
● A high level of integrity and Honesty
● Experience in Management of process leading to agreed outputs
● On time and in time reporting
● Have ability to identify and mitigate risk.
Duties and Responsiblities
● Deputise the Director
● Carry out fi nancial planning and management for the institution
● Ensure effi cient implementation of all academic programmes for the institution.
● Assist in the coordination and preparation of departmental Workplans, reports and requisitions.
● Chair the disciplinary committee of the institution
● Establish the required materials and ensure their rational distribution and utilization
● Minute secretary to Governing Council meetings
● Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant Authority.
