Post: Legal Officer
Responsible to: Administrative Secretary
Age: 25 – 40 years
Scale: CD 5
Qualifications:
Should possess LLB Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in legal practice from LDC and the person MUST be Advocate of the High Court of Uganda.

Planning and organizational skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Negotiation skills
Good judgment and decision making skills
Legal drafting skills
Trial advocacy skills.
Computer skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
i) behalf of NCDC for both civil and criminal matters.Formulate contract and agreement documents between
ii) NCDC and other parties.Advise on the application and or interpretation of provisions
iii) of the NCDC Act and any other laws that have a bearing on the work of NCDC.Scrutinize the legal implication of communications that go
iv) and come to NCDC Receive and evaluate all legal documents submitted to
v) NCDCDevelop and write legal memorandum and statements as may
vi) be directed by the Director and the Council. Monitor the performance of external lawyers on work as-vii) signed to them. Preparing and rendering legal opinion and advice to Man
-viii) agement and Council.Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
ix) Experience: A minimum of three years post enrollment experience in litigation and commercial law in a large organization or public entity.
