Job Title: Geo- Information Officer
Duty Station: Kampala
Age: 25 Years & Above
Qualifications And Working Experience:
● A Ugandan National with a Bachelors degree in GEO Information Systems, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related fi eld from a recognised University/Institution.
● Masters in Geo- Information Systems is a requirement.
● A diploma in Cartography will be an added advantage.
● Knowledge of GIS is an added advantage.
● Three (3) years working experience in a related fi eld.
Competences:
● Ability to develop statistical information by integrating physical and social indicators to support policy analysis and implementation.
● Computer skills, analytical, networking, interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
Duties:
● Collects, Processes and synthesizes the geographically referenced data to guide PRDP and Recovery Interventions.
● Collects data from Line Ministries, Development partners, International Agencies and Non–Governmental Organisations involved in PRDP Districts.
● Conducts User Needs Assessment of data requirements by all stake holders.
● Develops customised Geographical Information Systems training manuals for PRDP and Recovery Interventions.
● Integrates the Centre’s out put into Planning and Decision making.
● Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
