Job Purpose :
To manage and provide technical guidance /leadership in the
Accademic and administrative programs of the Northern Uganda Youth Development Centre
Minimum Qualification & Working Experience:
● A Bacherlors Degree in Business Adminstration, Public Administration, Management, Economics or Social Sciences.
● A Masters Degree in either : Business Administration, Management or a related fi eld from a recognizedUniverstiy/ Institution.
● Should have at least 10 years working experience in the related
field.
● Technical qualifi cation/training of trainers or training of instructors for Business, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) is required.
● Experience with output oriented/employment and enterprise orientation is an added advantage.
● Knowledge and practice of modularised training based on standards and a qualifi cation framework for assessment.
● Private and public sector experience in skills development
● Experience in managing teams in a cross-cultural setting
● Knowledge of any of the methods of creating an employment/ output oriented curriculum, such as DACUM or any other is an added advantage.
● Understanding Financial management of institutions and Government of Uganda accountability and procurement procedures
● Experience with planning and monitoring of strategic and operational plans
● A high level of integrity and Honesty.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Prepares accountability of all institution resources;
● Ensure effective and effi cient performance of both the academic and administrative functions of the institution;
● Ensures that research work is done and appropriately disseminated;
● Mainstreams gender in the institution;
● Conducts Admissions in conformity with approved policies;
● Manages and implement the institution’s Curriculum;
● Ensures general discipline of staff and students as well as their welfare and academic performance;
● Conducts Staff appraisals including, compiling and submitting annual performance reports;
● Initiates and prepare development and work plans for the institution;
● Mobilizes funds for the institution;
● Co-ordinate all institution’s activities and programmes;
● Performs any other related duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor;
