Job Title: 2 Agriculture and Livelihood Officers (2 vacancies)
Station: Imvepi Resettlement Camp and Nakivale Resettlement Camp
Report to: Senior Agriculture Officer
Qualifications:
• At least a Bachelors degree in relevant field including Agricultural/Natural Sciences, Agro-Business and any other related field.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience exactly relevant to the duties of the position preferably with International NGOs.
• Work experience with vulnerable groups an communities in rural setting with diverse cultures.
• Good knowledge of the local context.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Very good knowledge of FFS Methodology is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of the local languages such as Swahili is an added advantage.
• Valid riding permit for motorcycle is a MUST.
Responsibilities:
• Direct all DRC livelihood support to the targeted beneficiaries.
• Provision of Technical and programmatic leadership for the livelihood work in the area.
• Contribute to the central objective odd achieving the key project objective of enhancing self reliance.
• Promote environment and gender sensitive livelihoods programming.
• Contribute in the development of project plans/budgets and livelihood funding proposals.
• Coordinate the delivery of expected project out puts on time while ensuring quality.
• Participate in the program operational and long term planning.
• Participate in framers capacity building trainings.
• Mobilization of farmer groups.
• Link farmers with potential make opportunities.
• Organizers farmers’ field days/exchange visits.
• Setting technical demonstration plots (TS) for farmers.
• With support from his/her supervise, draw worked plans/budgets.
• Monitor and document DRC’s livelihood activities.
