Position: Finance and Administration Officer (12 Vacancies)

Duty Station: Local Rights Program- Field Offices


Role Definition:

To provide financial management support to staff and partners in the Dl and ensure compliance to the finance policy and administrative procedures in line with FPPM, the national laws and other related organizational policies

Key Results Areas:


Prepare and submit monthly and timely financial reports in accordance with FPPM.

Monitor the acquisition, use, safeguard and transfer of organizational assets from source to targeted beneficiaries as per organizational policies.

Participate in the preparation and consolidation of Dl plans and budgets and monitor their implementation in accordance with organizational policies.

Pre-audit partners and Dl transactions and support audits in line with organizational policies,

Supervise, motivate, appraise support staff in the Dl and build the capacity of staff and partners in line with the HRP and other organizational policies and procedures.

Lead the process of Procurement of goods and services and stores management at the Dl,

Capture payments, receipts and staff accountabilities in the accounting system, stamping and filling vouchers with all supporting documents daily to aid reporting, reviews and audit trails as per the finance manual.

Supervise and monitor the liquidity position and the treasury function of the DI to ensure that it meets its financial obligations as they fall due in line with FPPM.

Contribute to the management of donor projects and contracts,

Reconcile all accounts in accordance with the organizational chart of accounts and Finance manual,

Prepare and ensure timely submission of statutory deductions to the relevant authorities

Provide administrative and logistical support to staff and visitors in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and best practice.


Job requirement

Person Specifications:

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Financial Management or Accounting from a recognized university with at least 2 years relevant experience in a reputable organization

Part professional qualification will be an added advantage.
