ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER - (UICT SCALE 06)

Reporting to: Head of Department Main purpose of the post: Provide administrative support to the Head of Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

In consultation with the Course Coordinators and Heads of Departments prepare timetables Coordinate classroom allocation Maintain departmental students records Participates in management of examinations Process testimonials for students as assigned

Coordinating departmental staff development activities Maintain timetable for departmental activities Arrange for study visits Provide reports on staff and students attendance Enforce fee payments by students Maintain students records Provide career related information to the students Prompt checks to establish bona fide students and clients Prepare timely departmental reports on students admission and enrolment and performance Ensure timely issue of testimonials to bona fide students who have been duly cleared

Person Specifications Qualification/Training: An Honours Degree in Social Sciences or Social Works and Social Administration or Political Science & Public Administration or Business Administration or Information Technology or Education Management with 3 years experience in an institution of higher learning. Must be computer literate. Experience in electronic student information management systems will be of added advantage.

Successful candidates for the above posts will sign a 5-year renewable contract with the Institute.
