Reporting to: Assistant Academic Registrar
Main purpose of the job
Provide administrative support in the Office of the Academic Registrar.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate students admission and registration
Maintain records of students Initiate and follow up procurement of examination materials
Liaise with departments regarding examination schedules Liaise with the departments on the implementation of the academic calendar
Process academic testimonials for students Assist in preparations of graduation ceremonies
Prepare timely reports on students admission and enrolment
Ensure availability of class rooms for all lectures Ensure timely issue of testimonials to bona fide students who have been duly cleared Coordinating departmental staff development activities
Participate in the departmental meetings
Qualification/Training: An Honours Degree in Social Sciences or Social Works and Social Administration or Political Science & Public Administration or Business Administration or Education Management with 3 years experience in an institution of higher learning. Must be computer literate. Experience in electronic student information management systems will be of added advantage.
