Job Title: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – (UICT scale 7)

Reporting to: CHIEF TECHNICIAN

Main Purpose of the job:

Provides technical support to the teaching staff and students using the laboratories.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for technical support to the teaching staff and students using electronic laboratories and equipments Maintaining and servicing all the assigned laboratory equipment.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS The applicant must possess a Higher Diploma in electronics/electrical engineering, computer engineering or telecommunications engineering with RTET technician’s course, Parts 1, 2, 3 with 2 years experience; or Ordinary Diploma with 4 years experience.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Successful candidates for the above posts will sign a 5-year renewable contract with the Institute.
