Job Title: PROCUREMENT OFFICER - (UICT Scale 6)

Reporting to: Principal

Main Purpose of the job:

To provide a professional support and advise to Management on procurement issues and preparing tenders and award documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Liaising with end users and preparing procurement plans, Verifying and organizing documents relating to procurement,

Verifying procurement and disposal requisitions and organizing related documents Preparing and submitting reports to the Contracts Committee

Participating in bid opening and evaluation

Compiling procurement requirements and documentation.

Guiding suppliers and end users on procurement procedures.

Assisting the Head PDU to originate payment for suppliers , Compiling and submitting periodic reports Maintaining procurement records

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS A Bachelor of Procurement and Chain/Logistics Management Honours Degree. Or equivalent professional qualification. Two years experience in purchasing work. Supervisory experience will be an added advantage. Must be computer literate and familiar with Government procurement policies, laws and regulations.
