Reports to: supervisor- Business Systems Support

Role:
Maintain ICT systems and provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to computer users in all business offices in line with defined systems procedures and IT policy

Person Specifications:
Qualifications:
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Application, Information technology or equivalent
• Professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Professional, CCNA or equivalent will be an added advantage

Experience and Knowledge:
• At least one year providing end user phone support for current PC desktop and applications software
• At least one year installing, upgrading, trouble shooting and repairing personal computers in a multiprotocol network environment preferably a large corporate
• Installations of software for clients, server and peripheral computer environments
• Managing corporate desktop environments using tools like Microsoft Active Directory

Character
• Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Customer focused, sensitive to high quality services
• Ability to work on cross functional project teams from diverse business areas
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills
Special Requirements:
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
• Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment
• Willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekend if required
• Ability and willingness to travel on work assignments sometimes with little advanced notice
