Job title: Senior Accountant

General purpose of the position;
The candidate will be responsible to applying accounting proce¬dures and principles, to analyze financial information, prepare accu¬rate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appro¬priate accounting control procedures needed in the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Compliance with all the laws, deadlines, and legal requirements in so far as they relate to accounts and finances of the Organization
* Organize all types of audits.
* Organizing preparation of books of accounts in time.
* Ensuring that the accounting procedures are being followed.
* Keeping a regular and systematic vigil on finances of the organization and optimizing the use of finance.
* Preparing monthly and annual accounts, and also preparing projections and budgets for planning cash flows.
* Supervise and assist junior accountants whenever in need.
* Setting up control procedures at various levels to ensure that the information in the accounts does not vary with physical verification.

Qualifications and Competencies
* Honors' bachelor's degree in commerce, or Business administration, or Finance, or its equivalent qualification.
* Professional accounting qualification such as CPA and or ACCA, is A MUST from a recognized institution,
* Must have a minimum of 03 years work experience in management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting and data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advices-preferably in NGO's.
* Should be stress tolerant.
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills,
* Age must be within 35 years.
