Laboratory Technician Job Vacancy at BRAC Uganda

Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location; Nebbi, kitgum and Pader, with lots of field travels

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
* Will do the outreach smearing centre in the community to identify AFB+TB cases.
* Preparing sputum slide of suspected TB patients.
* Will also prepare reagents for strain slide.
* Do the microscope examinations of sputum slide.
* Maintain Laboratory registers according to the NTP.
* Conduct trailing to program assistants on how to prepare sputum slide.
* Prepare quarterly case finding reports in collaboration with TB focal person in the district

Qualifications and Competencies
* Must have diploma in Laboratory Technology
* Must be focused and very critical for purposes of accuracy
* Must be a good listener and emotion tolerant
* With good communication skills and self determined / motivated.
* Applicant should be below 30 years.
