Enrolled Midwife, Enrolled Nurse Jobs Vacancies in Uganda (3 Positions)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant posts that exist in Kyenjojo District Local Government. Applications must be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form No.3 (Revised 2008) to the SECRETARY, DISTRICT SERVICE COMMISSION P. O. BOX 1002, KYENJOJO, to be received not later than four (4) weeks from the date of publication.

Forms can be obtained from Public Service Commission’s Offices at Farmers House Kampala OR any District Service Commission. Applications should bear 3 passport photos and photocopies of supporting documents, with day time contact phone. Serving officers should route their applications through their heads of department who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.


POST: Enrolled Midwife - 02 VACANCIES
SCALE: U7 Upper

Terms of Appointment: Probation for 6 months.

Age limit: 21- 50 years.

Qualifications/personal specifications

    * Should have enrolled midwifery certificate.
    * Should be registered with the Uganda nurses and Midwives council
    * Observation, judgment, counseling, and communication skills
    * Should have a patient - approach and pleasant personality.

Duties:

    * Providing total care to mothers during pregnancy with emphasis on identifying high risk cases and provision of health education.
    * Ensure that aseptic technique is adhere to in carrying out deliveries.
    * Provide total care to mothers during labour with emphasis on keeping proper records, use of drugs and prevention of complication to mother and baby.
    * Any other official duties as assigned by the supervisor.

POST: Enrolled Nurse - 01 VACANCY
SCALE: U7 Upper
Terms of Appointment: Probation for 6 months.

Age limit: 21- 50 years.

Qualifications/personal specifications

    * Minimum of O level education plus a certificate in enrolled nursing from a recognized institution.
    * Must be registered with the Uganda nurses and Midwives council.

Duties:

    * Attending to the nursing needs of both admitted and out patients in the health units.
    * Providing treatment to the patient as prescribed by a medical or clinical officer.
    * Reporting any medical complications pertaining to the patient to the supervisor or attending medical or clinical officer.
    * Any other official duty as assigned or required by the profession.
