Qualifications:
• Bachelor's of Dental Surgery Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University/ Institution.
• Master of Medians Degree or its equivalent in Dentistry.

Experience: Applicants should have working experience of not less than six (6) years at specialist level three (3) of which must be at the level of Dental Surgeon Special Grade or its equivalent. Other Requirements:
• Applicants should have demonstrable qualities of leadership and integrity.
• Proven record of research and publications will be an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities
• Assists the Senior Consultant in ensuring efficient and effective management of services in his/her area of specialty, at the National Hospital and its catchment area.
• Diagnoses, treats, manages medical conditions and performs specialist clinical procedures in the area of specialty
• Supervises and trains Dental Surgeons Special Grade, Dental Surgeons and other Health Professionals under him/her,
• Plans and coordinates training programmes of all Health Professionals under him/her.
• Trains and supervises Intern Doctors
• Plans and coordinates CPD in his/her specialty for Health Professionals at the National Referral Hospital and its catchment area,
• Plans, coordinates and conducts operational research in his/her area of specialty
• Provides technical and professional advice in his/her area of specialty and the Institution.
• Conducts national outreach services.
• Advises on the procurement of equipment, drugs and other logistics required for efficient and effective delivery of services in his/her area of specialty.
• Carries out any other dudes as may be assigned from time to time.

Applicant may apply for a maximum of two (2) relevant posts which must be filled in two separate sets and by labeling the 1st choice as No.1 and the 2nd choice as No. 2.

All applications should bear the title of the post as well as its reference number and the name of the Institution where it is tenable.

Applicants who are Serving Public Officers must route their applications through their Heads of Department, who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Head of Department refers to the Head of the respective Institution of the Applicant. Applications found to be in contravention of this requirement will not be short listed.

Candidates who are not serving Public Officers should indicate two Referees with their telephone numbers.

Applicants who will be short listed shall be required to bring originals of their certificates unlaminated. Applicants must also fulfill the following conditions:

Health Workers who are required by law to register with the relevant councils; attach copies of certificates of registration. All candidates who are required by law to possess practicing license should attach copies of valid practicing licenses.
