Qualifications:
• Must have at least a Higher Diploma in Catering Management or Hospitality Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Must have training in Management at least at Diploma level,
• Possession of a Degree in Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
Experience:
Must have served for nine (9) years in Catering, three (3) of which must be at the level of Senior Catering Officer.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Heads the Catering Department.
• Plans, monitors and evaluates activities of the Catering Department.
• Tenders advice to Hospital Management on all Catering issues and keeps them informed of what he/she obtains on the ground.
• Responsible for preparing and administering Hospital food budget,
• Manages the requisition for food items and other consumable (prepares Commitment Forms and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs)
• Liaises with Suppliers, overseas purchases and payments.
• Supervises and appraises staff in the Department,
• Identifies relevant training programmes, trains and develops staff.
• Attends Top Management Meetings of the Hospital.
• Draws food requirement for the patients, Doctors' mess, Mwanamugimu, and UCI,
• Secretary to Hospital Catering Committee,
• Accounts for funds and resources allocated to the Department.
• Carries out any other duties assigned from time to time.

II. Attach copies of the letter (s) of appointment, confirmation and promotion in case of promotional posts. This includes Applicants from non Public Health Service.
Health Workers who are required by law to register with the relevant councils; attach copies of certificates of registration. All candidates who are required by law to possess practicing license should attach copies of valid practicing licenses.
