Job Title: Senior Manager (Monitoring and Evaluation)

Educational Requirements:
The candidate should have:
• A bachelor's degree in either health or social/behavioral sciences or statistics.
• A master's degree in either health or social/behavioral sciences or statistics with an emphasis on biostatistics and/or epidemiology and/or demography.

Required Experience and Skills:
The candidate should have:
• Substantial experience in design, development and implementation of M and E systems; preferably in the health sector.
• Substantial experience in analysis and reporting / presentation of data for programme decision-making;
• Good report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills in at least Word, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and database programmes; and
• Be capable of working individually and in a team environment.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager (M and E) will be part of the Strategic Planning and Development team at IDI with responsibility for all aspects of M and E function at IDI. Responsibilities will include, but will not be necessarily limited to, the following:
• Leadership, general management, and development of the IDI M and E team and budget such that the M and E strategy is implemented effectively.
• Periodic review and further development of the M and E component of the IDI Strategic Plan and Logframe.
• Periodic review and further development of all M and E indicators in the IDI Logframe and milestones in the IDI Strategic Plan)
• Periodic collection of data in relation to all the milestones in- the IDI Strategic Plan and in relation to all the indicators in the IDI Logframe.
• Production of the quarterly Key Performance Indicators for IDI (and other periodic or ad hoc reports) including addressing issues of timeliness, completeness and quality of the data.
• Production of annual business plans, with indicators, of IDI programmes.
• Design and implementation of M and E systems for IDI; plus identification or development of M and E tools for use at IDI; including M and E databases.
• Presentation of IDI M and E results at meetings; plus production of M and E information relating to the activities of the IDI Board.
• Support for M and E and reporting components of IDI projects (and proposals); including providing information to the project managers / funders with a view to improving project methodology and updating enhanced activity plans.
• Development of IDI proposals relating specifically to M and E.
• Development and implementation of M and E training courses; plus provision of M and E technical assistance to other organizations.
• Any Other duties specified by the IDI Head of Strategic Planning
