Post: Mobile Team Clinical Officer
6 Months Contract

General Summary:
The clinical officer will be part of a mobile team that makes monthly visits to the study sites in the project districts. He/ she will provide mentorship to health workers in their clinical skills. The clinical officer will also code and enter data on transmittal forms and dispatch to the data collection facility of the ID capacity building program. He/she will be recruited for only a period of 6 months.

Educational Requirements:
• Completion of Clinical Officer training in a recognized educational Institution
• Recent basic training in HIV/ART, malaria and TB Knowledge, abilities and skills:
• At least 4 years clinical experience in HIV/ART provision
• Basic understanding of training and education with some experience in adult education
• Well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in an effective manner with a wide range of stakeholders
• Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes
• Proficient computer skills including the use of Word software application and simple spread sheets
• Experience working in rural areas
• Willing to travel at least 50% time


Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in facility based training of medical personnel
• Provide mentorship to health workers at the study sites
• Code research data following procedures/guidelines provided
• Check through files to ensure that data extracted and/or submitted for research purposes is accurate
• Identify gaps and training needs at facility level
• Collect clinical data
• Report on data management
