Job Title: Administrative Officer
Overall Objective
To assist the project coordinator in handling administrative procedures and give support to the project management team
Qualifications
Should have either an Honours Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Social Sciences, Arts, Commerce (Management Opinion), Business Administration (Management Option) from a recognized University, Post graduate qualifications in Administration and Management will be an added advantage
Experience
A minimum of 8 years working experience directly relevant to duties of the position
Experience working with donor funded projects is added advantage
Competencies
• Must have excellent coordination and office administration skills
Possession of good writing, presentation and communication skills is a must
• Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Window XP Professionals A high level of integrity and interpersonal skills.
Duties and responsibilities
•Providing administrative support to the Project Coordinator
• Drawing up and monitoring project related appointments
Organizing important activities and events related to the projects
•Ensuring timely responses to inquiries and correspondences to and from the office
• Managing incoming and outgoing international and local mails and other correspondences
•Ensuring proper management of projects records in accordance with established records management procedures
• Ensuring efficient functioning and use of office assets
•Ensuring availability of stationery and other office equipment and supplies Acts as Secretary to the Management Committee Meetings
•Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
