Job Title: Program Officer Child Protection
Reports to: Program Focal Person
Location: Provincial- Secretariat, Namirembe Hill Road

Role: The incumbent will oversee the overall implementation of keeping children safe (Child protection) activities in Church of Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support and guidance to Diocesan staff and partners to draw and review work plans in line with programme Resource management and resource mobilization
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Advocacy and Networking

Job requirement

Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor's degree in social science, public health, international development or related field
• Masters in a related field with additional training in project planning and management will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) or related programming
• Proven OVC expertise; solid understanding of OVC frameworks and guidelines, considered technical expert in OVC

Competencies required:
•Demonstrated proposal-writing experience, preferably for OVC programs
•Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation; Strong analytical skills •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: the ability to effectively liaise with a variety of people in a multi-cultural environment,
•Flexible work attitude; the ability to work productively in a team environment and the ability to problem solve with minimum guidance.
•Good interpersonal skills
•Good networking and Advocacy skills
Mature Christian and a person of integrity
