POST: Counselor - (4 POSITIONS)
The counselor will be responsible for educating the clients about SMC. He/ she will perform counseling skills with high level confidentiality and without discrimination. He/ she will refer patients for further counseling or for other social


Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• Good counseling skills
• Ability for team work
• Knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS

Responsibilities:
• Provides a full range of counseling services to clients coming for circumcision
• Identifies clients problems and document pertinent information
• Assists clients in formulating plans for addressing problem areas
• Refers clients for further counseling to other social support institutions
• Participate whenever requested to do so in other circumcision related duties as required

Job requirement

Educational Requirements:
• A diploma or degree in a health related field
• Completion of a recognized course in a counseling with a specialty in counseling services for persons living with HIV/AIDS
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a clinical setting
