New Volunteering Opportunities in Uganda at nfectious Diseases Institute

Job Title: Volunteers (4 POSITIONS)
Under the supervision of the Sterilization Nurse, the volunteers will register all clients and participate in the cleaning, disinfecting and packing of surgical instruments. Occasionally they will also be called upon to participate in the sensitization and educating of clients both at the site and in outreaches.

Job Responsibilities:
• Register clients who come for circumcision
• participate in the cleaning, disinfecting and packing of surgical instruments
• Transport surgical kits too and from the sterilization site.
• Completes other duties as directed by nursing officer

Job requirement

Education and Experience:
• Diploma or Certificate in any field
• Two years working experience
• Experience of working in a theatre setting and some understanding of HIV/AIDS is also an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
• Good communication skills
• Ability for team work
• Ability to communicate with clients in Local language is added advantage
