Job Description (Duties):
Job Purpose:
* Accurate capture of underwriting information in Aims.
* Accurate premium debiting with correct reinsurance cessions.
* Risk assessment and determination of terms to apply.
* Continuously review of underwriting documents (Policy documents, Endorsements, Renewal confirmations and Debit Notes) in analysis presentation and to ensure they meet Clients requirements/ signing of documents.
* Ensure proper records of security documents (motor certificates, professional indemnity certificates)
* Ensure proper records of security documents.
* Ensure proper declarations of motor certificates.
* Timely issue of renewal notices.
* Proper accounting of security documents (motor certificates, professional indemnity certificates)
* Issuing of Motor Certificates.
* Responding to general underwriting/claims enquiries.
* Ensure that risks are properly evaluated and rated in a timely manner.
* Ensure timely quotations are given to intermediaries/direct clients and that risk surveys are carried out where necessary.
* Process claims in a timely and accurate manner in line with the terms and conditions of the policy.
* Review all claims to ensure that no fraudulent claims are paid.
* Perform any other duties as required.
Necessary Qualifications:
* Bachelors of Commerce degree or equivalent.
* ACII Professional certification or reasonable progress to completion.
* At least 3 years experience in related field.
* Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
* High level of integrity.
* Attentive to detail and has analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
* Computer Literacy in Ms Office Suite of packages.
